Mortuary Gorica [2009]

The mortuary is located in the village of Gorica. Together with the church and cemetery, it forms a sacred complex. The design of the mortuary defines the entrance to the complex, starting from the parking area and entrance plaza up to the mortuary building itself.

The mortuary is a single-story building consisting of a farewell hall, a storage room, and sanitary facilities. The sacred solemnity is maintained through the building’s symmetry facing the plaza and the church, while the entrance is marked by a colonnade that opens the complex toward the access road. The farewell hall features basilica-style lighting.

The facade is clad in stone, and the roof is traditional, with a double-pitched design covered in Mediterranean tiles.
